CATEGORIES and JUDGING CRITERIA

Categories and judging criteria-

NOTE: Competitors can enter in the category of their choice but may be placed into a different category at the registration check-in if they do not meet the specifications for the chosen category.

**Legal aids would include wax, hair spray and other hair cosmetics. False facial hair, hair extensions and any form of hair pins or elastics are strictly forbidden.

Moustache -

Any type of style, including freestyle. The hairs are allowed to start growing from up to a maximum of 1.5cm beyond the end of the upper lip.

**Aids are allowed.

Partial Beard -

Any facial hair that is not a full beard or a moustache. Natural or styled, but beware - over-styling will be moved to the Freestyle category.

**Aids are allowed.

Natural Full Beard with Styled Moustache -

A full beard means facial hairs on upper and lower lip, on chin, on cheeks and on sideburns, without any natural or shaved gap.

Only moustache can be styled with aids**.

Natural Full Beard under 4" -

A full beard means facial hairs on upper and lower lip, on chin, on cheeks and on sideburns, without any natural or shaved gap.

Measurement taken from just below the center of the bottom lip to the longest point. Must be shorter than 4 inches.

**No aids allowed.

Natural Full Beard 4"- 8" -

A full beard means facial hairs on upper and lower lip, on chin, on cheeks and on sideburns, without any natural or shaved gap.

Measurement taken from just below the center of the bottom lip to the longest point. Must be 4 inches or longer, but not more than 8 inches.

**No aids allowed.

Natural Full Beard 8"- 12" -

A full beard means facial hairs on upper and lower lip, on chin, on cheeks and on sideburns, without any natural or shaved gap.

Measurement taken from just below the center of the bottom lip to the longest point. Must be 8 inches or longer, but not more than 12 inches.

**No aids allowed.

Natural Full Beard over 12" -

A full beard means facial hairs on upper and lower lip, on chin, on cheeks and on sideburns, without any natural or shaved gap.

Measurement taken from just below the center of the bottom lip to the longest point. Must be 12 inches or longer.

**No aids allowed.

Freestyle Beard -

Full or partial beard, styled with aids. Be creative, go wild, and style to impress.

**Aids are allowed.

Whiskerina  -

Craft your best fake beard or moustache using any fanciful items that you can imagine! OR any fake hair, wigs or even your own hair! The sky's the limit. This category is for everyone, not just for the ladies.

Kids Exhibition (Non-Competitive) -

There will be a kids' fake beard and moustache parade and exhibition. No fee to participate and everyone will win.

Best in Show -

All first place paying participants are eligible to win!
